We had two attendees for the 2/27/08 Learning Lab discussion. Interestingly enough, both were from the military -- one from the United States and the other from Israel. This launched a good discussion about the fast requirements for military training and about how Web 2.0 tools might or might not be applied. Currently, it appears that the new social learning tools of 2.0 are not always a good fit, primarly due to logistical reasons and also the need for content control.
Other topics during the discussion included:
- what possible tools could be used to obtain course feedback from military personnel in the field (we didn't arrive at a solution, so ideas are welcome)
- the pros and cons of various e-learning development tools
- favorite presentation topics from the conference
- good books on e-learning
